Important Delivery Information

Orders placed on The Enlightened Hound's website can only be delivered to the following countries:

UK, USA, Canada & Australia

This is due to rules regarding customs proceedures and collection of taxes by businesses shipping from the UK.

For deliveries to Denmark, Finland, France, Guernsey, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Malta, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland & The Netherlands:

Due to the complicated import tax collection & customs proceedures for small non EU businesses I am not able to ship direct to EU countries. However I can deliver to other countries when orders are placed through my ETSY shop because ETSY acts as an intermediate marketplace and is set up to collect any taxes due in advance of shipping.

I am not currently shipping any orders to Germany or Belgium due to new customs proceedures and the high number of items being returned at customs.

UK Addresses

Royal Mail Strike Action (UK deliveries)

Throughout November and December Royal Mail are planning a series of strike days which will cause delays for UK deliveries over the busy pre-Christmas period.

To continue to provide the best service that I can, I will be using the EVRi courier service to deliver your orders with minimal disruption, over this time.

Unfortunately the increased costs of courier shipping means that I can no longer offer free shipping on all UK orders, however UK delivery is still free for orders over £12 (and just £1.95 for orders under £12).

Delivery outside the UK

FRAMED PRINTS: These cannot be shipped outside the UK due to risk of damage and high cost.

TRACKED DELIVERIES: All items for delivery to addresses outside the UK are shipped by a tracked service. Items to the USA are shipped by Courier/USPS Smartmail (I will need a phone number to book this service). Items to other countries will be shipped by Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed. Tracking numbers will be provided by email once items are dispatched.

CUSTOMS & IMPORT DUTIES: Deliveries to addresses outside the UK may be subject to additional import duties upon delivery. Payment of any additional duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

HOW IS SHIPPING CALCULATED? Shipping is calculated by primarily by the weight of item but also takes into consideration the size and/or value of the items.

The table below shows the minimum/maximum shipping costs by destination, however the best way to see the shipping costs for your order is to add the items to your basket. Select the relevant shipping option from the menu within the shopping cart pop-up window and the shipping cost for your items will be displayed.

Delivery times are estimates based on Royal Mail's target timescales once the item has been dispatched. Due to postal service disruption casued by Covid, parcels are typically taking longer to arrive, espcially to addresses outside the UK. Deliveries may also take longer over the Christmas period and/or if the delivery address is in a remote area, or just if you are unlucky.
